| Carte de morheiM In its prime days Morheim was rife with challenges, and acted as the very embodiment of the Asmodian lifestyle. The landscape was rough and unforgiving, ranging from the arctic deserts of the north to the blistering heat found in the vicinity of the only active volcano in Asmodae, Mt. Musphel. Lava from this volcano could be seen flowing throughout Red Lava Cliff and deep within Taran's Cavern. The pathways on the map were narrow, with ferocious creatures lurking around every corner, ready to lash out at unsuspecting travelers. Add up the numerous and densely-packed elite monster areas that players had to traverse through for their campaign quests and the frequent Elyos incursions, and it is no surprise that many players would perish to the dangers of Morheim -- even after the area was nerfed down in later patches. Patamor Thicket was home to the Elim and stretched from the Morheim Snow Field to the Hill of Belemu. This area was filled with lush plant life and very unusual tree-sized mushrooms. Players should bring plenty of water when traveling through the dry and barren Salintus Desert or plan to visit the flowing healing waters in the Halabana Hot Springs shortly after to refresh themselves. Players were able to fly in Morheim Ice Fortress and the Sky Temple of Arkanis because of the abundance of Aether in those areas. The major towns included Morheim Ice Fortress and Alsig Village, although there are other outposts as well. Players will find a variety of hostile wildlife, Lepharist Revolutionaries, and both the Ice Claw and Mist Mane Tribes. Finally, adventurous and daring travelers of levels 20-40 can opt to use the rifts to explore Eltnen, but be advised! Elyos can also use the rifts to invade Morheim as well. |
